Consultancy Division

Fugro GEOS has an opening in its consultancy division as a result of increasing workload and strategic growth. The chosen individual will be a core member of our consultancy team that has an excellent reputation for the provision of meteorological and oceanographic consultancy in support of the offshore industry. The role would include the following activities:-

• Develop regional implementations of WaveWatch III
• Extend validation toolbox
• Validate models against satellite data and where available measured
• Deploy models to support hindcast activity and forecast activity

The ideal candidate will be educated in ocean wave modelling and will have applied their learning in a research or commercial environment. Candidates should be highly resourceful and Linux/Windows literate with strong problem solving instincts. The individual should be able to demonstrate proficiency in deploying models in the coastal zone and enclosed basins.  This role would provide an excellent opportunity for an ambitious modeller to develop modelling capability within the Fugro Group.
